To speed up your computer with windows as OS follow the below tips and tricks
1. Go to start-->Run and type " recent " and press enter . delete all the files in this page . Do the same thing by typing " prefetch " and " %temp% " . This step removes temporary files in computer.
2. Go to start-->Run , type " cleanmgr " and press enter. Select any drive and press "ok" , then check all the options in next window and press " ok " again and press on " delete files " in next window. This step is called disk clean up.
3. Right click on " mycomputer " in windows xp or " computer " in windows 7 and Go to Properties-->Tools-->Defragment Now and defrag your files in local disks. Defraging means arranging files in an order.
4. Right click on the drives in " mycomputer " i.e.., local Disk (c:) , local Disk (d:) etc. and then Go toProperties-->Tools-->Check Now and then delete the Bad sectors and fix errors of your drives.
5. Go to start-->Run , type " msconfig " . Then click on " startup " tab in next window and uncheck the unwanted programs and press apply. Then click on " boot.ini " tab set the timeout from 30 seconds to 10 seconds.
6. Leave atleast 10GB of memory free in your 'C' drive.
7. Update your operating system regularly. To do this Right click on " mycomputer " and Go to Properties-->Automatic updates and select the automatic button and schedule the time.
8. Uninstall Unused Programs: Over time, you may have accumulated programs on your computer that you do not use. When program is installed, it creates connections between the program and the operating system. Even if you don’t use these programs, they can slow down your system. If you have the original program’s installation disk or file, removing programs will free up space on your computer and may speed up your system's performance.
